Meeting with the Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang
On 19 October, in the Palace of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon received Li Qiang, who is in Tajikistan on an official visit and to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Heads of Government meeting. The talks covered economic cooperation, trade turnover and joint projects in industry, energy, transport, infrastructure and agriculture.
At the Palace of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, received Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China. He is in Tajikistan on an official visit and to take part in the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
The two sides placed special emphasis on strengthening and expanding Tajik-Chinese cooperation. The trade turnover in January-August of the current year was said to have exceeded 2.5 billion dollars, and the discussion also covered new joint projects in industry, energy, transport, infrastructure and agriculture.
The meeting also addressed the use of modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, the creation of new jobs, staff training, and a number of regional and international issues.
