On 19 October 2026 in Samarkand, on the sidelines of the C5+1 meeting of the foreign ministers of Central Asian states and the United States, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The two sides discussed the current state and prospects of Tajik-US relations and voiced interest in strengthening the bilateral partnership and expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation.
