Emomali Rahmon attends the 7th CICA Summit in Baku

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, took part in and addressed the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia in Baku, Azerbaijan. He thanked Ilham Aliyev for hosting the event and for the warm welcome, and congratulated the Lao People's Democratic Republic on becoming a member of the forum.

The speech stressed the need to strengthen lasting peace and stability, resolve disputes peacefully, uphold international law, and expand constructive cooperation among states. It was also said that Tajikistan supports a more multipolar international order, dialogue, and efforts against terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, cyber threats and illicit drug trafficking.

The report says Tajikistan is promoting the initiative for the International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations and will host a high-level international conference on this topic in Dushanbe in May 2027. It also referred to digital economy, energy, green industry, artificial intelligence, climate, culture, tourism, youth and sport.
