Scientific-technical meeting held on glacier research and the conduct of expedition work

The meeting reviewed key issues of preparation for fieldwork, planning the expedition route, selecting scientific equipment, observing safety rules, collecting field data and processing the results obtained. The importance of using geodetic, hydrometeorological and glaciological instruments in studying the morphological and dynamic features of glaciers was also explained. It was stressed that proper use of scientific equipment and standard research methods make it possible to obtain accurate and reliable data on glacier changes.
