Emomali Rahmon launches implementation of the reconstruction project for the Vahdat - Obi Garm road

On 24 October 2026, President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon laid the foundation for the reconstruction project of the Vahdat - Obi Garm road during a working visit to the city of Vahdat.

Officials informed him that the road will be 70 km long. It will have two lanes for traffic in opposite directions. The carriageway will be 10-12 m wide, and the shoulders will be 2.5 m wide.
