On 19 October 2026, Muhammadreza Aref, First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, arrived in the Republic of Tajikistan to take part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (prime ministers) of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states.
At Dushanbe International Airport, he was welcomed by Hokim Kholiqzoda, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, and other officials.
