On 29 October 2026, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Head of Government.
The draft law on the State Budget of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2027 and the outlook for budget indicators for 2028-2029 were reviewed. State budget revenue for 2027 is projected at 80.1 billion somoni from all sources, which is 15.1 billion somoni, or 23.2%, higher than the approved 2026 budget. Funding for social sectors is set at 36.7 billion somoni.
The meeting also considered the state external borrowing programme for 2027, the police reform programme, the national civil aviation safety programme, the programme for studying the cryosphere and protecting glaciers, and the action plan to improve the meliorative condition of irrigated agricultural land.
