Dushanbe to host the SCO Council of Heads of Government meeting

On 19.10.2026, Dushanbe announced that on 20 October 2026 the city will host the 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states.
On 19.10.2026, the state news agency Khovar reported that Dushanbe will host the 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states on 20 October 2026.
The report says the heads-of-government meeting serves as the organisation's main economic and trade platform. It is expected to focus on economic and trade cooperation, investment and innovation, support for joint projects in start-ups and the development of public digital infrastructure, transport and logistics, including the expansion of transport corridors, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties and financial and institutional issues.
Heads of government and senior representatives of SCO member states are expected to attend the meeting in Dushanbe.
