Tajikistan and the SCO: from political dialogue to practical cooperation

The article says that in the modern world, where political and economic trends are changing rapidly and issues of security, sustainable development and international cooperation are becoming more important, the role of regional organisations in building trust and aligning state interests is increasing.

On this view, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) provides broad scope for strengthening political, economic, security and cultural links among its member countries as an important mechanism for multilateral dialogue.
