Teaching and upbringing in preschool institutions are regarded as one of the important stages in personality formation. For this purpose, Tajikistan is implementing the State Programme for the Development of Preschool Education in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026-2030.

One of the programme's main goals is to widen quality access to this stage of education and upbringing, as well as to improve the professional qualifications of staff in the sector. In preschool institutions, a child is introduced not only to first knowledge, but also develops speech, thinking, memory, creativity and communication skills.
