‘Treasury of Tajik History and Culture’ republican contest to begin in Tajikistan

According to the state news agency Khovar in Dushanbe, on 2026-10-27, the republican contest ‘Treasury of Tajik History and Culture’ will begin in Tajikistan on 5 November 2026. It is being held to mark the President’s Day of the Republic of Tajikistan and the anniversary of the 16th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The report says the initiative comes from the Agency for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage. Its aim is to promote national history and culture in society, especially among teenagers and young people, strengthen self-awareness and national identity, revive historical memory, and help people better understand the role of the long-established and culture-bearing Tajik nation in the development of human civilisation.
