Environmental clean-up campaigns were held in Norak to improve sanitary conditions, keep the environment clean and raise public ecological awareness.
Khovar National News Agency, citing the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, reports that environmental clean-up campaigns were held in the city of Norak.
Residents and staff of organisations and institutions took part in cleaning and tidying work, removing waste from streets and roads, around buildings and other public areas. According to the source, such initiatives are important for improving the environmental situation, beautifying local areas and involving the public in environmental protection.
The report also notes that the draft State Programme for the Development of Environmental Education and Ecological Culture of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026-2030 was recently reviewed and approved at a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. Such activities in towns and districts across the country are linked to the implementation of that programme.
