Khovar calendar: today is 21 October, Wednesday, the 294th day of 2026

Khovar’s calendar note lists events for 21 October in different years, including meetings involving Tajikistan’s leadership, domestic openings and other notable items.
On 21 October 2002, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, received UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan in Dushanbe. The note also recalls his working meeting with leaders and activists of Sughd Region in 2015 and his meeting with Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in 2016.
The list of events further includes Emomali Rahmon’s re-election in 2020, the opening of an additional building of Secondary School No. 8 in Danghara in 2021, and the formal launch of a poultry enterprise at the Zarkoron agro-industrial complex in 2023. Under “Also on this day”, it mentions the presence in Dushanbe in 2025 of heads of delegations from the prosecutor generals’ offices of CIS member states.
