In Dushanbe on 22.10.2026, a modern mobile laboratory was handed over to the Committee for Housing and Communal Services under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for rapid water-quality testing. The equipment was provided under the Tajikistan Water Supply and Sanitation Investment Project with World Bank funding.
According to Khovar, citing the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan, the mobile laboratory is equipped to carry out physical, chemical and microbiological water analyses. It will allow specialists to test water quality directly on site, including in remote areas.
The report says the laboratory will strengthen drinking-water quality monitoring, help identify deviations from established standards and support timely action. It also notes that providing the population with high-quality and safe drinking water is among the priority areas of the Government of Tajikistan’s social policy.
