On 15 October 2026 in Baku, on the sidelines of the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), a meeting took place between Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Sri Lankan Foreign Minister, Minister of Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath.
The two sides exchanged views on current issues and on promising areas for the further development of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. They also discussed cooperation within international and regional organisations.
