Emomali Rahmon receives Mohammad Reza Aref

The meeting covered a broad range of Tajik-Iranian cooperation, including within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. Emomali Rahmon said Tajikistan considered Iran's participation in the SCO's activities important. The sides expressed satisfaction with the expansion of ties and the ongoing political dialogue at high and highest levels. They also paid close attention to further growth in trade and economic cooperation in transport, energy, industry, agriculture, health care, pharmaceuticals and other priority areas, as well as to widening the list of goods for bilateral trade and developing joint production. Further strengthening of cultural and humanitarian cooperation was also deemed important, and selected regional and global issues were discussed during the conversation.
