Meeting with interior ministers of CIS member states

On 1 October 2026, the President of Tajikistan received the interior ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States member countries at the Palace of Nations.
On 1 October 2026, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, received the interior ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States member states at the Palace of Nations.
According to the official report, he welcomed the guests to Tajikistan and wished success to the meeting of the CIS Council of Interior Ministers. He said the council has, over the years, established itself as a sectoral platform for inter-state cooperation on law enforcement and crime prevention.
The meeting focused on strengthening coordination between law-enforcement bodies, combating transnational and organised crime, drug and arms trafficking, human trafficking, and addressing cybercrime and the use of new technologies by criminal groups.
