Chinese State Council Premier Li Qiang lays a wreath at the Ismoili Somoni monument

DUSHANBE, 18.10.2026 /Khovar National News Agency/. Today, on 18 October, Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, visited Friendship Square in Dushanbe as part of an official visit and laid a wreath at the Ismoili Somoni monument. At the wreath-laying ceremony, Li Qiang was accompanied by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Hokim Kholiqzoda and other officials. According to the official visit programme, expanded talks between the Tajik and Chinese delegations and a signing ceremony for cooperation documents will take place in Dushanbe today. He is also due to take part in the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, scheduled for 20 October in Dushanbe.
