Emomali Rahmon awarded honorary 9th Dan in taekwondo

At the federation headquarters, the president of the Taekwondo Federation, Yoon Ung-sok, welcomed the distinguished guest, Emomali Rahmon. Before the ceremony began, a taekwondo martial arts demonstration was presented for him.

The federation council’s decision to award the honorary 9th Dan was then read out, and at the formal ceremony Emomali Rahmon was presented with the honorary dan and put into special attire. He thanked the federation leadership for the recognition and said taekwondo, beyond being a well-known Olympic sport, embodies a philosophy of healthy living and the spiritual and cultural connection among people.
