Meeting of the heads of the Tajikistan and Qatar interparliamentary friendship groups held in Dushanbe

On 25-09-2026 in Dushanbe, within the framework of the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly on social and cultural issues, a meeting was held between the heads of the interparliamentary friendship groups of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State of Qatar.

The two sides discussed the current situation and prospects for the development of friendly and interparliamentary relations between Tajikistan and Qatar. They also stressed the important role of parliamentary diplomacy, exchange of experience, interparliamentary meetings and cooperation within international and regional organisations.

The participants noted that bilateral cooperation has expanded in recent years in the political, economic and trade, investment, cultural, education and tourism spheres. At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed readiness to continue mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthen friendly ties between the parliaments of the two countries.
