Tajikistan plans to expand financing options for environmental initiatives

Dushanbe, 2026-10-21: Bahodur Sheralizoda, Chair of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Onnovanden Heuvel, head of the biodiversity financing portfolio at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), discussed financing for biodiversity.

The two sides also reviewed further initiatives to support the successful implementation of the Financing Plan and to integrate international environmental standards and innovative financial instruments in Tajikistan.
