Speech at Khujand city stadium on the 35th anniversary of state independence

A few days ago, the people of Tajikistan, including the residents of Sughd Province, marked the 35th anniversary of state independence in an atmosphere of complete peace and stability, with worthy achievements. The speech describes independence and freedom as the most precious blessing and the clearest sign of the Tajik nation’s existence, and extends wishes of peace, calm and good fortune to every household.

The text says that over 35 years of independence, especially in Sughd Province, major construction and improvement works have been carried out, and only in the past 5 years 15,400 social and production facilities have been built, renovated and commissioned. It also refers to the development of the “Istiqlol” and “Shahriston” tunnels, improved transport links, and the contribution of these measures to the sustainable growth of the national economy.
