On 8 October, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, travelled to Turkmenistan to take part in the CIS Council of Heads of State meeting and the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.

At Dushanbe International Airport, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan was seen off by the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Chairman of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, the First Deputy Head of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and other officials.
On this trip, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan is accompanied by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on foreign relations, the Director of the State Material Reserves Agency and other officials.
