Aref: the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation must go beyond condemning aggression and sanctions

Iran's First Vice President, speaking at the meeting of SCO prime ministers in Dushanbe, condemned the military aggression by the US and the Zionist regime against Iran and called for stronger economic capacity within the bloc.
Mohammad Reza Aref told the meeting of prime ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states in Dushanbe that a lasting response to shared economic threats cannot rest on condemnation alone, and that members should strengthen their economic capacity.
He also set out Iran's proposals to speed up the creation of an independent development bank, form an energy consortium, expand trade in national currencies, and develop transit corridors.
