Agricultural sector grows in Tajikabad as farm output rises more than 27 times in the years of independence

DUSHANBE, 2026-09-10 /AMIT "Khovar"/. The report says that 35 years may not be a long period in the history of a state and a nation, but for Tajikistan it has been an important stage in strengthening national statehood and in economic and social development.

According to the source, more than 1,591 individual peasant farms, including 20 collective farms, operate in the agricultural sector of Tajikabad district. Reforms in agriculture, freedom to choose crops, wider use of repeat cropping and more efficient land use have helped strengthen agricultural production.
