Co-operation between Tajikistan and FAO discussed in Rome

In Rome on 22 September 2026, the strengthening of co-operation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in food safety was discussed. The talks took place between Muhammadsaid Fayzullozoda, Chairman of the Committee for Food Security under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Thanawat Tiensin, FAO Deputy Director-General and Director of the Animal Production and Health Division.

The meeting covered agricultural production, livestock, closer co-operation among the health, environment, agriculture and veterinary sectors, information exchange, prevention of animal diseases and the implementation of the One Health principles.
