On 18 October 2014, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, a ceremonial meeting was held at the Sadriddin Ayni Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre to mark the 90th anniversary of the founding of Dushanbe.
11 years ago, on 18 October 2015, in Ayni district, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon inaugurated the Nakibkhan Tughral historical and cultural complex. On the same day, as part of a constructive policy aimed at achieving one of the government's main goals - breaking the communications deadlock - the Ayni - Panjakent road was put into use.
On 18 October 2018 in New York, a ceremony was held to sign a joint statement on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Burundi. Also on 18 October 2022, President Emomali Rahmon took part in and addressed the international conference "International and regional cooperation on security and border management to counter terrorism and prevent the movement of terrorists".
