Competitors from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria and Hungary took part in the 2025 tournament.

Khovar says the Sambo World Cup is one of the key events on the international calendar of the sport, and Tajik athletes won 9 medals at the 2025 competition.
