More than 15,000 facilities built in Sughd Region

Dushanbe, 24.10.2026 / Khovar National News Agency/. In 2026, the plan for construction, development and beautification works in the cities and districts of Sughd Region was completed, and more than 15,400 different facilities were built, renovated and put into use. This was reported by Khovar, citing the press service of the Chairman of Sughd Region.

Regional development amounted to somoni 37 billion, with growth recorded at 108 percent. The region's share in the country's short-term economic development indicator stood at 27.2 percent. In the first 9 months of 2026, industrial output in the region reached somoni 31.1 billion, also with growth of 108 percent.

During the reporting period, 1,351 industrial enterprises were operating, including 38 industrial service enterprises and 1,313 manufacturing enterprises. From January to September this year, somoni 3,954.4 million was invested in the region. Construction and installation works reached somoni 3,577.4 million, and more than 427,000 square metres of housing, as well as additional educational capacity for pupils and children, were put into use.
