Start of a working visit to Rasht district and commissioning of the district airport

According to the official notice, on 11 September the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, travelled to Rasht district on a working visit to open several facilities in the Rasht Valley districts, meet local residents and take part in festive events marking the 35th anniversary of State Independence. At Rasht district airport, local leaders and residents welcomed the head of state. President Emomali Rahmon then formally commissioned the airport. The report says the airport building was renovated with support from domestic entrepreneurs and now offers modern passenger services. The President praised the builders and gave officials instructions and recommendations to further improve the airport’s operations.
