On 2026-10-19, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon opened the new Cultural Palace in Rudaki district during a working visit. The building is named after Karomatullo Qurbonov.
The modern cultural facility was built with support from the Government of Tajikistan as part of improvement works marking the 35th anniversary of state independence. Officials said 130 jobs have been created and better working conditions have been provided for culture staff.
Construction lasted for more than two years, during which 150 local specialists were employed temporarily. A statue of Karomatullo Qurbonov has been placed in front of the building. The Cultural Palace has a large hall with 700 seats and 50 working and auxiliary rooms.
