Senior World Bank representatives receive state awards of Tajikistan
On 21 September 2026, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, two senior World Bank officials were awarded state honours of Tajikistan.
In New York, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, senior representatives of the World Bank were awarded state honours of the Republic of Tajikistan. The report was published by Khovar on 22.09.2026.
The Foreign Minister, on behalf of the leadership of the state and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, presented the state Order of Friendship to Anna Bjerde, Managing Director of Operations at the World Bank, and Antonella Bassani, World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia. The award recognised their valuable contribution to strengthening cooperation and developing relations with Tajikistan.
