Tajikistan and the United Kingdom plan to sign a new document on emergency prevention

In Dushanbe on 14 September 2026, Rajabali Rahmonali, Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defence under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, met Catherine Smithton, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Tajikistan. The sides discussed preparing and signing a new cooperation document and implementing joint projects.

They also discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in preventing and responding to emergencies, reducing the risk of natural disasters, and strengthening the capacity of rescue units.
