On 22 September, Emomali Rahmon, during a working visit to Sughd Province, commissioned a number of new industrial and social facilities in Khujand remotely.
At the LLC Nasli Istiklol site, a poultry enterprise and a poultry slaughtering and processing workshop began operations. The poultry enterprise is designed to raise up to 300,000 chickens a year, while the meat-processing workshop is intended to slaughter and process up to 190,000 chickens per month. In total, 40 jobs have been created at the two facilities.
To improve drinking water supply for residents of the newly built neighbourhoods on the right bank of Khujand, two reserve reservoirs with a combined capacity of 3,000 cubic metres have been built, and 878 households will receive drinking water. In education, the private Vorison secondary school for 550 pupils and the private Vorison preschool for 150 children were put into use.
In healthcare, a branch of the Nasl Medical Centre was also commissioned. Forty specialists will be employed on a permanent basis for the construction and equipping of the branch. Emomali Rahmon, while inspecting the new facilities, instructed officials to ensure efficient use of capacity, high-quality products and services, and favourable working conditions.
