In Yerevan, biodiversity financing and the implementation of mechanisms to mobilise domestic and international resources were discussed

As part of the Tajik delegation's participation in the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP17) in Yerevan, Bahodur Sheralizoda, Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, met Onno van den Heuvel, Head of the Biodiversity Financing Portfolio at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The meeting focused on biodiversity financing and the implementation of mechanisms to mobilise domestic and international resources. It was noted that support from the global BIOFIN team is important for Tajikistan in developing biodiversity-focused financing mechanisms.
