Masoud Pezeshkian congratulates Emomali Rahmon by phone on the Tajik president's birthday

Dushanbe 2026-10-05 (Gregorian calendar), Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a telephone call to congratulate Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on his birthday and wished him and the people of Tajikistan health, happiness and prosperity.

Emomali Rahmon thanked him for the congratulations and good wishes, and in return wished happiness and prosperity for the friendly and brotherly people of Iran.

The two presidents said they were satisfied with the growing relations and interactions between Tehran and Dushanbe, and stressed the continuation of joint efforts to further expand and deepen friendly and all-round cooperation. The Tajik president also described Masoud Pezeshkian's recent speech at the United Nations General Assembly as intelligent and powerful, and praised it.
