School pupils in Tajikistan to begin autumn holiday break

According to Khovar, citing the press centre of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, the first term in all general secondary schools will be concluded on 31 October 2026, and pupils will go on their autumn holiday break from 1 to 8 November 2026. 9 November 2026 has been declared a school day in the country.

During the 8-day break, pupils may use the recommended list of literary works prepared for extracurricular reading. The first round of the school-level Olympiad will also begin during this period.

The ministry has urged parents to keep close supervision and not allow children to spend too much time on mobile phones, idleness or aimless wandering in streets and internet centres.
