Variable weather forecast for Tajikistan today, with short-term rain in some districts

DUSHANBE, 24.09.2026 /NIAT “Khovar”/. According to the national meteorological agency, there is a risk of local mudflows in some foothill and mountain districts of the republican subordination areas and Sughd region, as well as in the western districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, on 24 and 25 September 2026. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures.

Variable weather is forecast for the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, with short-term rain and possible thunderstorms in the west of the region. In the east, the night is expected to be mostly dry and the day to bring short-term rain. Rainfall, including heavy rain in some mountain districts, is also forecast for Sughd Region.

Variable weather, short-term rain and a possibility of thunderstorms are also expected in Khatlon Region, the districts of republican subordination and Dushanbe. Westerly winds will prevail, while temperatures will vary within the ranges given in the report.
