A special Tajikistan event on restoring uranium legacy facilities was held in Vienna on the sidelines of the 70th IAEA General Conference.
According to Khovar, within the 70th session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), held from 2026-09-14 to 2026-09-18 in Vienna, Austria, Tajikistan organised a special event titled "Restoration of uranium legacy facilities in Tajikistan: progress, challenges and priorities".
The event exchanged views on improving post-restoration monitoring, managing water flows and other routes for the spread of pollutants, controlling dust and radon, strengthening laboratory capacity and further training national specialists.
