At the Tajik National University, a small-sided football tournament was held among lecturers and staff under the title “Football is a factor of unity and solidarity among young people”, in connection with the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. The university told Khovar about the event. The aim of such sporting events is to encourage lecturers and staff to take up sport, promote a healthy lifestyle, strengthen friendship and cooperation, and uphold national values, including state independence and national unity. In the competition, the “Istiklol” team defeated the “Vahdat” team and won the Rector’s Cup of the Tajik National University. The report also notes that sport is not only a means of improving health, but also an important factor in friendship, solidarity, cooperation and a constructive spirit in society.
