Attendance at the ceremony to award the 9th Dan honorary rank in Taekwondo at the World Taekwondo (WT) headquarters

At the federation headquarters, the President of World Taekwondo, Chungwon Choue, warmly welcomed the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. Before the ceremony began, a taekwondo demonstration was shown to the distinguished guest.

World Taekwondo Federation President Yoon Woong-sik then read out the Council's decision to award the President of the Republic of Tajikistan the 9th Dan honorary rank in Taekwondo. At the formal ceremony, Emomali Rahmon was presented with the 9th Dan honorary rank and dressed in special attire.

The Head of State thanked the federation leadership for the recognition and said that taekwondo, in addition to being a well-known Olympic sport, embodies the philosophy of a healthy life and spiritual and cultural connection between people.
