RASHT DURING THE YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE. Reflections on the role of state policy in the district's socio-economic development
A Khovar report says that in the independence period, the Government of Tajikistan's sustained focus on regions, especially remote districts, has helped to make better use of their socio-economic potential and improve living standards.
DUSHANBE, 2026-09-11 /NIAT Khovar/. The report says Tajikistan entered a new phase of development and nation-building during the years of independence, and that construction and improvement works have gained fresh momentum across the country's cities and districts, including Rasht district.
It adds that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan's continued attention to regional development, especially in remote areas, has gradually enabled fuller use of local economic and social potential and improved the population's living conditions and quality of life. The piece says this policy has brought visible changes in different parts of the country, including Rasht district.
