Presidium/Bureau meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly held in Dushanbe

On 24 September 2026, a meeting of the Presidium/Bureau of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly was held in Dushanbe. According to the House of Representatives, the meeting was attended by representatives of the parliaments of Presidium member states, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting reviewed organisational matters and the Assembly's further priorities, including issues related to its work for 2027, and adopted the relevant decisions. Dushanbe is also hosting, on 25-26 September 2026, the main programme of the international event - the meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly Standing Committee on social and cultural matters.
