Clearer voice and faster internet: subscribers are choosing VoLTE

DUSHANBE, 2026-10-15 /AMIT "Khovar"/. VoLTE, or voice over LTE, allows users to finish a call without interrupting mobile internet, hear the other person more clearly and connect more quickly. More than 700000 subscribers of Megafon Tajikistan are already using it.

Another 800000 people have smartphones that support the technology. If VoLTE does not switch on automatically, customers can enable it themselves in their device settings or contact any office of Megafon Tajikistan for assistance.

The company says it was the first in the republic to launch VoLTE in 2022. It is now expanding its 4G/LTE network and IMS platform nationwide so that voice calls can take place on the same 4G network and internet use is not interrupted during conversations.
