Delegation from Dushanbe travels to China to strengthen cooperation in tourism

The visit by representatives of Dushanbe to Xiamen, Chengdu, Hainan and Qingdao began on 7 October and will run until 17 October. The stated aim is to deepen international tourism cooperation and present the capital of Tajikistan’s tourism potential.
DUSHANBE, 08.10.2026 /Khovar/. On 7 October, a visit by representatives of the city of Dushanbe to the Chinese cities of Xiamen, Chengdu, Hainan and Qingdao began and will continue until 17 October.
The purpose of the visit is to strengthen international cooperation in tourism, study the advanced experience of cities in the People’s Republic of China, exchange experience and present the tourism opportunities and potential of Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe. The trip is being carried out within the framework of friendly relations, sister-city cooperation and intercity partnership between Dushanbe and Chinese cities.
The programme includes official and working meetings with local authorities, sector bodies, travel companies, tour operators and other potential partners. A photo exhibition on Dushanbe will also be held, presenting the city’s historical and cultural sites, modern infrastructure and tourism products.
