Tajikistan and Islamic Development Bank discuss implementation of joint projects

On 22 September 2026 in Dushanbe, Finance Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Fayziddin Kakhkhorzoda met with Hammad Zafar Khundal, head of the regional office of the Islamic Development Bank. The sides discussed priority areas for future cooperation.

The talks covered attracting investment into the energy sector, taking into account the key role of the Rogun hydropower plant in ensuring energy security and developing green energy in the region, as well as regional transport infrastructure and the construction and modernisation of educational institutions.
