In Seoul today, the current state and prospects of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea in the field of exports were discussed at a meeting between Bahriddin Sirojiddinzoda, Director of the Export Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Ms Miss Young-Ah Doh, Vice President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
Bahriddin Sirojiddinzoda said Tajikistan has broad opportunities to export environmentally clean goods and products, including early and seasonal fruit and vegetables, grapes, apples, fruit juices, honey, nuts, dried fruit and industrial goods, especially cotton fibre, aluminium and other products, to the Republic of Korea.
The meeting also discussed attracting investment from KOICA for the construction and commissioning of an agro-logistics centre in the republic. It was noted that such centres would make it possible to pack products in line with Korean standards and export them at prices favourable to both sides to markets in Korea and third countries.
