President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon takes part in the eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan
The Tajik head of state attended and spoke at the summit in the Avaza region of Turkmenistan, highlighting the potential for closer cooperation.
On 8 October 2026, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, took part in and addressed the summit of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, held in the Avaza region of Turkmenistan.
In his remarks, Emomali Rahmon emphasised the considerable potential of Central Asia and Azerbaijan for moving towards closer economic, transport, energy and industrial cooperation, while underlining the region's rich resources.
