More than 842,000 Russian language textbooks delivered to general education institutions in Tajikistan

Under intergovernmental cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia, 842,400 Russian language textbooks for grades 5 and 6 have been delivered. Part of the print run was produced in Russia and part in Tajikistan.
DUSHANBE, 07-10-2026 /Khovar National News Agency/. As part of intergovernmental cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation, 842,400 copies of the Russian language textbook for grades 5 and 6 have been delivered to general education institutions in Tajikistan.
According to the Centre for the Development, Publishing and Circulation of Textbooks and Scientific-Methodical Literature under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, 682,400 of these textbooks were printed in the Russian Federation and 16,000 were published in the Republic of Tajikistan. Distribution to educational institutions has begun, and 100 copies have already been handed over to institutions.
The report says the delivery is part of the wider Tajik-Russian partnership in education and is intended to improve Russian language teaching and strengthen the learning base for pupils.
