A solemn gathering held in Washington to mark the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan

On 9 September 2026 in Washington, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the United States of America, a solemn gathering was held to mark the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It was noted that, despite the difficulties of the early years of independence and the impact of external factors, especially global economic and financial crises and the worsening geopolitical situation in the world, the Republic of Tajikistan, under the wise leadership of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, has achieved significant progress in strengthening statehood, developing the economy and social sphere, and raising the country's international standing.
